Meet The Founder
Meet Lance Pierce
Lance Pierce is a visionary entrepreneur, community organizer, and the driving force behind some of Kansas City’s most dynamic queer spaces. As the founder of Queer Bar Takeover, Queer Dinner Club, and the soon-to-open Q Kansas City, Lance has spent nearly a decade fostering connection, joy, and uninhibited queer expression in the Midwest.
His work is deeply rooted in the idea that queer people deserve spaces where they don’t just exist—but thrive. From turning traditionally straight bars into welcoming LGBTQ+ spaces to launching a dedicated queer nightclub built with community input, Lance’s projects are reshaping the social fabric of Kansas City and beyond.​
But his impact doesn’t stop at nightlife. Through Queer Connect, he’s built an infrastructure for queer organizing, helping LGBTQ+ individuals find community events, advocacy opportunities, and resources all in one place. And through QueerVoter.org, he’s mobilizing queer voices in the political landscape, ensuring LGBTQ+ representation at the ballot box.
Lance is a bold thinker, a candid storyteller, and a natural conversationalist. Whether discussing the evolution of queer nightlife, the power of belonging, or the challenges of building inclusive spaces, he brings both depth and warmth to every conversation.​
