Pride in Action: The Work of the Pride Charitable Fund

At Q Kansas City, we believe queer spaces are about more than just music and good vibes. They are about connection, care, and building something that lasts. Our community shows up for each other in so many ways, and one organization making that possible year-round is the Pride Charitable Fund of Kansas City.

What They Do

The Pride Charitable Fund (PCF) raises money and gives grants to LGBTQ+ nonprofits making a real difference across our city. Their mission is to support the programs, services, and people who keep Kansas City’s queer community thriving, from mental health and housing initiatives to youth programs and arts organizations.

When local nonprofits need help growing or staying afloat, PCF steps in with funding, guidance, and community connection. They are not just giving out grants. They are fueling the work that makes Kansas City more vibrant, inclusive, and proud.

Why The Pride Charitable Fund Matters

Every queer organization you love, the ones hosting events, offering support, or creating safe spaces, depends on community support to survive. The Pride Charitable Fund helps make sure those organizations have what they need to keep doing the work.

By pooling donations and redistributing them where they will have the most impact, PCF keeps our ecosystem strong and sustainable. It is community care in action and a perfect example of what happens when we come together to lift each other up.

Join Us for Sunday Funday at Q

We are teaming up with the Pride Charitable Fund for their very first Sunday Funday, happening right here at Q Kansas City on Sunday, November 16 | 4–7 PM | 504 Westport Road

Come hang out with the PCF Board, meet some of their incredible grantees, and learn more about how they are supporting LGBTQ+ organizations across KC. It is a laid-back afternoon of community, conversation, and connection, the kind of Sunday that reminds us why this city is so special.
