Introducing Queer Arts Club: Building Community Through Shared Artistic Experiences

Art has always been one of the places where queer people have found themselves, found each other, and imagined a better future.

Let's be honest, we've always had a thing for the arts.

Whether it was growing up obsessed with Broadway cast albums, finding ourselves in the front row of a community theater production, cheering on a local drag performer, laughing until we cried at an improv show, or wandering through a museum with friends, the arts have always been woven into queer culture. They've helped us see ourselves, tell our stories, and imagine what was possible long before the rest of the world caught up.

There's something magical about sitting in a dark theater as the lights fade. For two hours, a room full of strangers laughs together, cries together, and experiences the same story. Then the curtain falls, everyone applauds, and most of us head home. We kept thinking, what if the best part of the night happened before the show even started?

That's the idea behind Queer Arts Club.
