Supporting Our Star: Kora Kayyy’s Road to Recovery

At Q Kansas City, we believe in the power of community. Week after week, one of our brightest stars, Kora Kayyy, brings that spirit to life. Whether she's dazzling us on stage or hosting our Drag Race watch parties with heart, humor, and high camp, Kora brings people together and makes Q feel like home.

Now, Kora needs us.

Recently, Kora suffered a serious medical emergency and spent over 42 hours in the ICU, 12 of those hours on life support. She’s now in recovery, facing the long road back with the same strength and grace we’ve seen on our stage. But recovery comes with real costs, hospital bills, missed income, and the financial strain that often follows sudden trauma.

We’re asking our Q family and the broader KC community to rally around one of our own. A fundraiser has been launched to help Kora with her medical expenses and recovery needs. Every donation, no matter the size, helps lighten the load so she can focus on healing.
